Prince of Songkla University in collaboration with Chiang Mai University, Kasetsart University, Mahidol University, National University of Laos, the Department of Mineral Resources, the Department of Groundwater Resources, and the Department of Mineral Fuels is delighted to invite executive personnel, scientists, researchers, and students to attend GEOPHYSICS 2018 SONGKHLA, THAILAND.

Geophysics plays a vital role in the prediction and understanding of natural hazards and remediation of environmental problems. There is a growing interest and relevance in the interaction between science and society reflected in the economic, social and public-policy aspects of geohazards. These were the driving forces to establish the International Conference on Applied Geophysics series, which is the largest geophysics conference in Thailand held every two years. The topics of the conference will cover virtually all significant areas of geophysics, including theoretical studies, data acquisition and analysis, and state-of-the-art field exploration and development technologies, as well as commercial, environmental, and engineering issues.

The forthcoming event will be the 8th conference namely “Geophysics Songkhla 2018”. The mission of the conference is to introduce, promote, stimulate, and communicate the development and application of geophysics in various problems to people from industrial, academic, and government institutions. The event will bring together executive personnel, scientists, and engineers to share experiences and ideas, to establish partnerships, to get on the latest technological advances, and to enjoy the beauty of the historical city of Songkhla. We are confident that this event will open opportunities to build strong networks and ties for future work and collaborations.
